The National Rural Electric Cooperative Association along
with Lowe's sponsored the event held on Nov. 18 in Wilkesboro,
N.C., for all electric cooperatives in the United States who
serve Lowe's stores.
Scott Walker accepted
the award on behalf of Walton EMC. Walker has been a commercial
and industrial account executive for Walton EMC for four years.
"Walton
EMC's mission is to provide low energy rates along with great
customer service," Walker said. "Winning this award is an
example of Walton EMC's employees fulfilling our mission of
providing great customer service."
Out of 56 electric cooperatives nation-wide that serve Lowe's
stores, 44 attended the conference and participated in professional
workshops led by representatives from Lowe's.
Walton EMC serves two Lowe's stores in Northeast Georgia,
while its affiliate Walton EMC Natural Gas serves nine stores.
Walton EMC Natural Gas is an affiliate gas marketing company
of Walton EMC and currently serves over 26,000 accounts in
Georgia.
