Monroe,
GA -- Jackson EMC and Walton EMC participated in Georgia Public
Broadcasting's Membership Drive on Wednesday, March 10 from 7 p.m.
to 11 p.m. at Georgia Public Television headquarters in Atlanta.
Volunteers from 27 EMCs around the state answered phones and took
pledges during the last evening of GPTV's membership drive.
"Georgia
Public Television plays a big role in providing valuable programs
that support our children and educators," says Randall Pugh,
President and CEO of Jackson EMC. "We're proud to partner with
an organization dedicated to creating, producing and distributing
quality television programs that celebrate Georgia's culture and
history."
GPTV
reaches 98% of Georgians, many of whom are EMC consumers. The EMCs
have joined GPTV to sponsor student/athletes around the state through
live, statewide coverage of the Georgia High School Association

Sports +, a program that recognizes the accomplishments of high
school students, athletes, coaches and teachers, and can be seen
Friday evenings and Saturday mornings during the school year.
