MONROE,
Ga. -- Individuals and groups all over Walton Electric Membership
Corporation's ten-county service area continue to be helped by the
generosity of Operation Round Up.
Tens
of thousands of Walton EMC members who give an average of only 50
cents a month are making a profound impact on the lives of people
in need. By itself, 50 cents can't do much. But when aggregated,
the members' giving power enables small change to make a big difference.
Walton
EMC simply rounds up their electric bill to the next dollar with
the leftover change going to Walton Electric Trust. Then the 15
volunteer members of the trust thoroughly scrutinize every application
for assistance to make sure the money is spent as responsibly as
possible.
Here
are the latest Round Up recipients:

Gwinnett County single mother who was laid off is being helped with
household expenses while she searches for a new job.
