Show Raises $2,400 to Benefit March of Dimes

MONROE, Ga.– Collectible
cars and trucks rolled into Monroe for Walton Electric Membership
Corporation's first Willie's World of Wheels held Sat., April 30.

Walton
EMC employee volunteers hosted the car show at their headquarters
to benefit the March of Dimes annual WalkAmerica fundraising drive.
Willie's World of Wheels raised $2,400 with 34 entries, raffles,
a barbeque lunch and more.
“We
appreciate all those who brought their vehicle out for the show
despite the bad weather,” said Kathy Ivie, team captain for Walton
EMC's Power Team. “It shows how much our community cares for the
March of Dimes and for saving babies. We're already looking forward
to planning next year's car show.”
Judges
selected the top 25 entries to receive trophies and awarded Charleen
Carey of Bethlehem with Willie's Choice Award for her 1957 Studebaker.
