No Bills-Please!
Our
poles may look like convenient bulletin boards. But your
innocent looking sign can actually put our line workers in danger.
Even
though we depend on bucket trucks for many tasks, our line workers
still climb poles on a frequent basis. A staple or nail holding
a sign can easily punch a hole in our employees' insulated protective
gloves.
That
hole could open the way for 14,400 volts to enter our line worker's
body. The results are usually catastrophic.
But
that's not the only danger. The nail or staple from your
sign could give the line worker a nasty gash or cause him to lose
his grip on the pole. A line worker's high wire act is hazardous
enough without extra booby traps.
So
please post your message in the paper or on the grocery store bulletin
board. Leave our poles for electric wires.
