EMC Communications Recognized at National Event
The
communications efforts of your co-op have been awarded at the recent
Cooperative Communicators Association (CCA) Institute.

EMC Communicators Greg Brooks and Katie Woodall were recently
honored for their work at the Cooperative Communicators Annual
Institute. |
Out
of 791 total entries in the annual CCA Communications Contest, the
article “Living With Unsightly Wall Warts” received third place
in the Technical Writing category, while the ad “My Dad Knows About
Safety” received an honorable mention in the Print Advertising category.
The
contest showcases the best communications efforts of cooperative
businesses and organizations throughout the United States.
Greg
Brooks, Walton EMC Communications Coordinator and outgoing CCA president,
also received the Master Cooperative Communicator (MCC) certificate.
The MCC certificate signifies an individual's level of professionalism
and competency and demonstrates mastery of the knowledge and skills
necessary to communicate on behalf of cooperatives.
2005
is the inaugural year of the MCC program and 15 communicators received
the certificate.
The
Cooperative Communicators Association is an organization of 300
professionals who communicate for cooperatives. The organization
is unique in both its mission and membership and works toward helping
members excel in communications efforts.
