Tune
Up Time
Make
sure your AC is ready for hard summer work
- Like
any other mechanical device, it’s a good idea to get
regular maintenance on your air conditioner. This month
is a good time to schedule a checkup before the cooling season
rush.

- Call
a licensed contractor to service your air conditioning unit. Talk
to friends for recommendations if you don’t have a dealer. It’s
probably not a good idea to choose a contractor randomly.
- Read
the owner’s manual that came with your unit. It gives
tips on things you can do to help the AC operate more efficiently. If
you can’t find your manual, many major manufacturers
now have them on their website.
- A
tune up should include cleaning the inside and outside units,
motor lubrication and general inspection.
