Changes
to Service Fees Announced
Take
effect on July bills
Beginning
July 1, certain fees the cooperative charges for residential service are
changing.
The late
charge for account balances not paid on time will be the greater of $15
or five percent of the arrears amount. The previous fee was the greater of
$10 or five percent.
The security
deposit for residential service for those with a low credit rating is going
from $200 to $300. Deposit amounts are determined by your credit rating
provided by a credit reporting agency. The amount for medium scores, $150,
is not changing. High scores do not require a deposit.
Residential
deposits required for establishing service will no longer be billed on
the first bill. If a deposit is required to start your electric service,
your account will not be connected until the deposit is paid.
