Changes to Service Fees Announced

Take effect on July bills

Beginning July 1, certain fees the cooperative charges for residential service are changing.

The late charge for account balances not paid on time will be the greater of $15 or five percent of the arrears amount. The previous fee was the greater of $10 or five percent.

The security deposit for residential service for those with a low credit rating is going from $200 to $300. Deposit amounts are determined by your credit rating provided by a credit reporting agency. The amount for medium scores, $150, is not changing. High scores do not require a deposit.

Residential deposits required for establishing service will no longer be billed on the first bill. If a deposit is required to start your electric service, your account will not be connected until the deposit is paid.

Please contact us if you have any questions.
