CEO Receives National FFA Recognition

Walton EMC CEO Ronnie Lee has been honored with the Honorary American FFA Degree, the highest honorary degree given by the National FFA Organization.

The award was presented to Lee during the recent National FFA Convention in Indianapolis. The Degree is given to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding support of the FFA and agricultural education.

Lee, former North Hall High School FFA president, was nominated for the award by the Georgia FFA Association. His nomination was approved by the National FFA Board of Directors.

“Lee is an advocate for FFA and agricultural education,” said Georgia FFA’s Katrina Jones. “He has supported FFA leadership activities and career development events for many years, including the Agricultural Electrification Career Development Event.”

Walton EMC is also a sponsor of the state Nursery/Landscape Proficiency Award.

During the Honorary American FFA Degree ceremony, Lee received a certificate and medal. His name will be permanently recorded with other honorary recipients.

FFA is a national youth organization of over 495,000 student members preparing for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture.  The Georgia FFA Association, with over 26,000 members, is the third largest state association in the nation.
