CEO
Receives National FFA Recognition
Walton
EMC CEO Ronnie Lee has been honored with the Honorary American
FFA Degree, the highest honorary degree given by the National
FFA Organization.
The
award was presented to Lee during the recent National FFA Convention
in Indianapolis. The Degree is given to individuals who have
demonstrated outstanding support of the FFA and agricultural
education.

Lee,
former North Hall High School FFA president, was nominated for
the award by the Georgia FFA Association. His nomination was
approved by the National FFA Board of Directors.
“Lee
is an advocate for FFA and agricultural education,” said
Georgia FFA’s Katrina Jones. “He has supported FFA
leadership activities and career development events for many
years, including the Agricultural Electrification Career Development
Event.”
Walton
EMC is also a sponsor of the state Nursery/Landscape Proficiency
Award.
During
the Honorary American FFA Degree ceremony, Lee received a certificate
and medal. His name will be permanently recorded with other honorary
recipients.
FFA is a national youth organization
of over 495,000 student members preparing for leadership and careers
in the science, business and technology of agriculture. The
Georgia FFA Association, with over 26,000 members, is the third largest
state association in the nation.
