Paying
by Credit Card?
Heed
these reminders
If
you pay your electric bill by credit card, here are a couple of tips to keep
in mind:
Payee
name on credit card statement
The
payee name on your monthly statement will not show up as Walton EMC. Rather, “SEDC
Utility Payment” will appear. Southeastern Data Corporation (SEDC)
is our data processing cooperative that handles credit card transactions
on Walton EMC’s behalf.
Credit
card draft
If
you pay by automatic credit card draft, you need to contact us when the bank
issues a new card. Even though the new card is the same account number as
before, the expiration date and CSV code (the three numbers on the back)
will change.
If we submit the payment with
the old expiration date and CSV code, the card will be denied and your payment
will not go through.
