Correct Phone Numbers Essential

Makes service during power outages more efficient

Having your correct phone number helps us receive your power outage report quicker.

Over 90 percent of time, you’ll get a real person when you call Walton EMC. But in times of large outages, we receive thousands of calls at once. Our computer outage management system comes on line to efficiently handle the increased call volume.

The system, called dataVoice, uses caller ID information sent from your phone to quickly find your account information.

If we have your correct number on file, as soon as your call rings we access your account information. After confirming the outage, you can schedule a confirmation call when we determine the power has been restored.

If we don’t have your correct number, you can still report the outage. It’s simply a matter of following the voice prompts from dataVoice–it just takes longer.

Check the phone number and service address listed at the top of your electric bill. If they’re not correct, call 770/267-2505 or e-mail with the right information.
