Leaders
Wanted: Apply Within
Here's
your chance to hone leadership skills and have fun
Four
local high school sophomores and juniors will get the leadership development
experience of a lifetime this summer. Walton EMC provides this opportunity
through the Washington Youth Tour.
The
tour is so jam-packed it takes two cities to do it all: Atlanta and
Washington, DC.
First
in Georgia’s capital, you’ll get to know fellow delegates who’ll
quickly become your friends. You’ll meet state leaders and see Georgia
landmarks.
Then
the tour steps up a notch when you head to the nation’s capital.
The
Washington highlight is a luncheon with Georgia’s Congressional delegation.
You’ll also visit the White House, Capitol, National Holocaust Museum
and Arlington National Cemetery, where you may be chosen to participate in
a wreath-laying ceremony.
It’s
not all work! Social activities include a dance and riverboat ride.
The
Washington Youth Tour gives local young people a peek at how our state and
national governments work and what it takes to be a better leader.
The
2008 trip is June 12-19. Call 770/266-2572 or click
