| Good Community Citizens
We're
Taxpayers
Walton EMC pays several million dollars in taxes each year,
including federal and state unemployment tax, sales and use
tax on collected revenues, sales tax on purchases, franchise
fees, property tax and ad valorum tax.Locally, the counties
we serve benefit from property tax on our facilities (substations,
lines, poles, buildings, etc.) and sales tax we collect for
them on electricity we sell.

| Operation
Round Up
Through Operation Round Up,
your monthly electric bill is "rounded" up to the next dollar.
The extra change goes to a fund administered
by the Walton EMC Trust, a non-profit (501(c)3) organization,
to help worthy causes in our community.
Your donation is tax-deductible. Any administrative costs
are absorbed by Walton EMC, so 100 percent of your donation
goes to make life better. Funds could go for a variety of
projects, including purchasing emergency medical equipment,
providing hot meals for the elderly, assistance for those
in dire circumstances (house burned, etc.) or other needs
in our community.

| Project
Share
Project Share, established by the Salvation
Army, allows WEMC
customer-owners to assist with energy related emergency needs
of the low and fixed income, elderly and handicapped. A set
amount ($1, $2 or $5) can be added to your electric bill and
is then sent directly to the Salvation Army to be used in
the county where collected. All contributions are tax deductible.
