Small Change That Changes Lives

If you're a Walton EMC member, you have the chance to change someone's life.

Your cooperative has an innovative program to help those in need. It's called Operation Round Up®.
Operation Round Up gave funds to help the Dream House for Medically Fragile Childrean expand its facilities.

If you participate, your monthly electric bill will be "rounded up" to the next dollar. For example, if your bill is $52.51, you'll pay $53.00. The extra 49 cents goes to a special fund administered by volunteer co-op members through the Walton EMC Trust.

Any administrative costs are absorbed by Walton EMC, so 100 percent of your donation is used to make life better. And the Trust's bylaws specifically prohibit paying electric bills with the money you donate. It's also tax deductible.

You'll give an average of 50 cents a month or $6 a year. The amount you'll give is less than one soft drink a month.

And joining is easy. Just e-mail us. Then, together, we can change lives.
