Energy Rebate and Loan Programs |

EMC's 2008 member rebate programs are listed below. Call
any WEMC office for more information. (You must receive
electric service from Walton EMC to participate in these
programs.)

Heat Pump Rebate |
|
$200/unit rebate for changing a fossil fuel heating system to
an all-electric heat pump.
How
do I qualify?
(These are basic requirements; for complete details contact
Walton EMC.) 
Change
your existing home's fossil fuel heating system to an all-electric
heat pump that meets these efficiency standards:
- Unitary*
13 SEER
- Geothermal**
10 EER 3.4 COP @ 70ºF EWT
- Package
9.5 EER 2.7 COP @ 47ºF (*also called "splitsystem" heat
pumps) (**also called "earthsource" heat pumps)
Specifics:
- Available
to existing homes only.
- Your
existing fossil fuel system must be replaced with an all-electric
heat pump (rebate does not apply to dual fuel heat pump
installations).
- The
amount of the rebate is $200.

Water Heater Rebate |
|
New Homes-$150/unit for 40 gallon or larger
unit (not available to Comfort Home participants).
Existing
homes-$200/unit for fossil fuel to electric change out,
40 gallons or larger.

Heat Pump Water Heater Rebate |
|
$150/location for installing a heat pump water heater.
|

Prime PowerLoan |
|
Prime rate financing for electric heat pumps, electric water
heating, security systems installed by EMC Security, standby
generators and existing home weatherization. Open to residential
and commercial accounts.
