Tiny
Stitches makes complete layettes for indigent newborns. They also make
burial ensembles if the need arises.
Appalachee
Baptist Association–$5,000
The
grant is going to purchase new equipment, laptops, printers and other supplies
for one of their disaster unit mobile offices.
Gwinnett
Ballet Theatre–$5,000
Their
Shiloh Elementary dance program offers children at the school an opportunity
to enjoy 16 weeks of personal dance instruction as well as attendance at
several off-site theatrical dance events.
Lawrenceville
Cooperative Ministry–$10,000
The
ministry’s emergency assistance program provides emergency food, prescription
medication and other financial assistance to needy families who live in Lawrenceville
and Dacula.
Lilburn
Cooperative Ministry–$10,000
Another
of the ministry’s programs, the rent/mortgage assistance program helps
families remain stable by providing assistance with rent or mortgage up to
$250 per year.
Walton
County GA CHIP Team–$7,000
GA
CHIP (Georgia Child Identification Program), sponsored by the Grand Lodge
of Georgia, is purchasing two computers. The computers allow CHIP volunteers
to collect a child’s personal information, picture, fingerprints, DNA
and dental impressions. This information is compiled onto a CD and
given to the child’s parent.
