Customer-Owners Round Up to Help Neighbors
These
organizations and individuals recently received Operation
Round Up funds:
Lilburn
Cooperative Ministry is receiving a $3,000 grant
to help individuals with mortgage/rental assistance.
Walton
County Deptartment of Family and Children Services
is getting $1,650 to pay for 30 people to take the GED test.
Camp
Twin Lakes is
receiving $5,000 for their 2005 Camper Scholarship Program.
This money would allow children with health disabilities to
attend summer camp.
Area
Committee to Improve Opportunities Now, Inc. (ACTION)
is getting $5,000 for their Senior Grocery Bag program.
This provides free food to senior citizens in the Walton County
area every month.
Walton
County Senior Citizens Center
is receiving a $3,203 to make enhancements to their facilities.
A
Newton County woman
is getting funds to repair her roof. Because of leaks
in her roof, serious damage was done to the inside of her
home. She has three children and one of them is handicapped
and on oxygen.
A
Walton County man is receiving funds to pay for hand
controls to be installed in his vehicle. He is a paraplegic
and these controls will help him remain independent.
A
Morgan County family is receiving funds to help with
medical insurance. The husband is a transplant recipient
and must continue his medical insurance payments to maintain
coverage.
It’s evident what less than one dollar per month from
Round Up participants can do
for the community.
Check
“yes” on your bill next to Operation Round Up
or sign-up online.
Your bill will automatically round up each month to the nearest
dollar. The extra change will be added with other members’
change each month.
Your
donations will average $6 a year. And contributions to Operation
Round Up are tax deductible. Think about how great you’ll
feel the next time you read the Realite to see how
Operation Round Up changed lives once again in your community.
But only next time they’ll do it with your help.
