Payer beware

Despite what the signs may say, those “authorized payment centers” you see at some local retailers are not affliated with Walton EMC. Choosing to pay your Walton EMC power bill via this method doesn’t necessarily assure your payment will be received by the co-op. In addition, these centers charge a processing fee — something your co-op does not do.

Power bill payments should be made directly to Walton EMC using one of the quick and reliable options outlined at waltonemc.com/my-account/ways-to-pay. The co-op can accept payments 24 hours a day, any day of the week. Residential customer-owners who struggle with monthly payment deadlines may opt for PrePay, a pay-along electricity payment plan.
