Under the agreement, Walton EMC provides continuous electric service to your rental units. If your tenants move, the electric service is automatically switched back to your name. There’s no interruption in service, especially important during the winter to prevent frozen pipes.
When the unit rents again, the account changes to your renter’s name. The power is already on, so it’s convenient for them and saves time for you.
It’s the responsibility of the owner to make sure the new tenants apply for electric service when the unit is rented. Continuous service does not prevent disconnection for non-payment.
