Walton EMC is something special - a unique force in the communities we've served since 1936. Our leaders are our members, neighbors and friends. And our service is much more than electricity.
EMC of the Year
For unprecedented generosity in 10 northeast Georgia counties, Walton EMC has been named EMC of the Year and presented with the 2011 Community Service and Volunteerism Award by our statewide trade association.
Operation Round Up®
Our employees are involved in many community activities, including annual fundraising drives for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, March of Dimes and the United Way. In addition, Walton EMC personnel are active participants in local chambers of commerce, civic clubs, youth sports, churches and many other activities that better our communities.
Youth Programs & Sponsorships
Operation Round Up is Walton EMC's community service assistance program. The program is a simple and rewarding way for our customer-owners to raise money for local charities, needy individuals and service organizations.
Walton EMC believes in investing in youth. Each year, the co-op sends high school students to the Washington Youth Tour, sponsors youth electrification contests and Georgia High School Association state championships, and partners with area schools to enhance the educational experience. The co-op is also a sponsor of the Walter Harrison Scholarship program, which awards financial aid for post-high school education.
Walton EMC's Monroe and Snellville offices have an auditorium that is available to civic and community groups for their meetings at no charge. Reservations are required.
