George Walton Academy
“It is my pleasure to nominate #50 Brody Hamman as Week One, 2025 Walton EMC Lineman of the week. Brody Hamman is a Junior at George Walton Academy and plays both sides of the ball for us. Brody is well respected among his peers and provides great leadership as a member of our football team and school. Brody often leads by example for his teammates but often communicates directions for his Offensive lineman. He is constantly mentoring and encouraging his teammates to keep working hard and never give up. As for winning this award, Brody will be the first to tell everyone that his teammates are the reason he was chosen for this award. Congrats to Brody on a well deserved honor!!” – Coach Ridings

“Shea was selected for this award because of his consistency on the offensive line. Shea has played exceptionally well in all four ball games to start the 2025 season. He always brings a positive attitude and mindset every day. Along with that, he has played with great effort and physicality. He has helped anchor an experienced offensive line that has played a lot of snaps together. “Gabe is the only returning starter from last year’s offensive line and has carried on the same standard of play this year. Over the past 5 games he has graded out the highest on the offensive lineman with a cumulative score of 88%. Our Offensive Lines ability to both be physical at the point of attack and also move in space gives our Offense an added explosive dynamic. Gabe has done a great job leading this group this season and we are excited to see just how good they can get.” – Coach Richt

“Our lineman of the week is Senior Defensive Lineman Travis Young. Travis is having an outstanding year for us. This is just his second-year play football, and he has come such a long way in a year. “J.J has embraced his position change from tight end to left tackle and has become a dominate force up front for us. He showed great effort on both sides of the ball and was a leader throughout the entirety of the game. JJ had 4+ knockdown blocks on offense and 2 QB pressures while playing defense.” – Coach White

“Harrison Mitchell has been a key contributor to the offensive line’s success over the past two seasons. He consistently gets the job done in the trenches and leads by example with his work ethic and toughness. A true two-way player, Harrison gives everything he has on both sides of the ball. “Unitas Baltimore was selected as Lineman of the Week due to his exceptional performance on the field on both sides of the ball, demonstrating not only raw power and technique but also leadership, consistency and stamina. Throughout the month, Unitas anchored the line of scrimmage, protecting the quarterback on one side and harassing the quarterback on the other. His ability to maintain composure under pressure and play a brand-new position at Center when called upon played a significant role in the team’s offensive success in the past month. Additionally, his strong work ethic in practice and his leadership in the huddle helped elevate the overall performance of the entire line.” – Coach Nighbert

“Mason is a senior captain who plays both sides of the ball. Mason starts at center and defensive line. Mason has been the link to securing one of the best OL in the state AAA. His hard work and determination gives us a boost every time we enter the field. He is the epitome of what we look for in a Monroe Area lineman.” – Coach Reach

“Cory has done an incredible job leading our team as one of our captains this season. Cory has been a three year starter for our Varsity football team and many of those games playing both sides of the ball. Cory approaches every practice, lift, and game with the mindset of a winner. He is a warrior in the trenches on the offensive and defensive lines. Cory has the respect of all of his teammates and coaches. We are honoring him for having his best game of the season last week with 4 pancake blocks and several key blocks during the game. “Walnut Grove High School Walton EMC Lineman of the Week is Gatlin Mull. He has developed into a leader on and off the field. He is an anchor in the middle of our defensive line and has been all season. Gatlin is well respected by his teammates, coaches, and teachers. He selflessly takes ownership of his role on the team to bring unity and help us reach our larger purpose as a team of staying together and being consistent every day.” – Coach Andrews

“Drake Harrison, a senior leader and dominant presence at both offensive tackle and defensive tackle, earned this week’s Lineman of the Week honor for his outstanding leadership, work ethic, and performance on both sides of the ball. As a player that has made a tremendous impact on the offensive line, he consistently sets the tone with his physicality, communication, and execution, assisting the unit in being disciplined and cohesive. Defensively, his relentless effort and ability to control the line of scrimmage constantly disrupts the opponent’s offense throughout the game.
