The Bud Wiley Memorial Golf Tournament

The Bud Wiley Memorial Golf Tournament is in honor of H.B. “Bud” Wiley Jr. Bud served on the Board of Directors for Walton EMC, and during his tenure, had a significant impact on those who were fortunate enough to know him and work with him. We want to honor Bud’s legacy and his commitment of service to our community.

Each year for the past three years, Walton EMC has held an annual golf tournament in Bud’s name to help raise money for a cause that he was passionate about. This year, proceeds generated from the tournament will go to benefit the Walton County Special Olympics. We are excited to bring the community together to fundraise for such a great cause!

The Special Olympics was established in 1968, and has grown immensely over the years, serving athletes with both physical and intellectual disabilities and working with hundreds of thousands of volunteers and coaches from all corners of the globe. Their work helps to utilize the power of sports and athletics to reinforce the values of courage, friendship, strength, perseverance, and the potential of every human being.

So come hit the links with us as we celebrate and honor the life of Bud, support a great cause, and have some fun along the way!

The Bud Wiley Memorial Golf Tournament is located at Monroe Golf & Country Club and the tee off will be at 9 am on October 3.  This event is open to the public and all are welcome to participate. To sign up for registration please email charity@waltonemc.com or call 770-266-2332.
