2026 Lineman of the Week

During football season, Walton EMC proudly recognizes exceptional high school linemen who exemplify excellence on the field and in the classroom. Nominated by their coaches, these student-athletes set the standard for dedication and teamwork.

Collin Foster (Week 1) – North Oconee High School

From the coach: “Collin has been an anchor on our offensive and defensive lines this fall.  He has played every snap on offense and been a major contributor on the defensive line.  He has consistently improved his performance every week through the first three weeks of the season.  Collin is a leader on our football team and represents our program in a positive light on and off the field.  Our program is better because of Collin’s presence.”

Klaiton “Truck” Jackson (Week 1) – Loganville High School

From the coach: “Klaiton “Truck” Jackson is a returning starter whose ceiling is extremely high for the Red Devil offensive line. He continues to embrace his role as a leader up front and has proven to be a dependable presence for our offense. Truck had a particularly impressive performance Friday night against Discovery. It wasn’t a perfect game for us, and it was a night that required us to really lean on the big guys up front. He answered the call. Truck played an outstanding game both mentally and physically, showing toughness, discipline, and leadership when his team needed him most. His effort and physicality helped set the tone up front and showed exactly what kind of player and leader he can become.”

Deshawn Eyongorock (Week 2) – Monroe Area High School

From the coach: “Our lineman of the week is Senior Deshawn Eyongorock. Deshawn has recorded 25 tackles including 10 solo tackles and 4 tackles for loss. He has graded out the highest along the defensive front. He has been a huge asset to the Monroe Area football team.”

Cooper Davis (Week 3) – Social Circle High School

From the coach: “Cooper Davis, senior, offensive tackle. Cooper has been a two year starter for us on the offensive line. He is a great kid who is respected by his teammates and coaches. Cooper has worked extremely hard on and off the field that past 4 years. He has transformed his body with his work ethic in the weight room and turned himself into a really good football player. He is an honor student in the classroom and a great representative of our team values of toughness, effort, accountability, and mindset.”

Champ Carr (Week 4) – South Gwinnett High School

From the coach: “Our Lineman of the Week is Champ Carr, a senior who is having an outstanding season. Champ has worked extremely hard to transform his body and improve his overall conditioning, and his dedication is paying off on the field. He has become a dominant force on Friday nights and continues to play at a high level each week. We are incredibly proud of the player, teammate, and young man he has become, and he is very deserving of this recognition.”

Gavin Bray (Week 5) – Oconee County High School

From the coach: “I chose Gavin because of his consistency. He has been consistently solid all year up until now. Gavin is a mainstay on our offensive line. He has played 314 snaps so far this year. Aside from his consistency, Gavin is also an extremely hard worker and leader in the weightroom. From his freshman year until now, he is one of the most improved players to come through this program. He also helps out coaching our Freshman OL when they play at home. That is a testament to how much we as a coaching staff trust him and how much his teammates respect him. He has definitely been fun to work with.”

Grant Spires (Week 5) – George Walton Academy

From the coach: “I would like to nominate Grant Spires as our Walton EMC Lineman of the Week. Grant is a Senior returning Offensive Line starter for us. He has played all five positions on the Offensive Line. His greatest attributes are his willingness to do whatever it takes to be successful as a TEAM (Together Everyone Accomplishes More)! Grant is a vocal leader for our team but always leads by example. He is our quarterback upfront by making all calls and adjustments. By having Grant on our Offensive Line, he has made my job as an Offensive Line Coach easier. Thank you, Grant for your Leadership and toughness you display daily for our football team.”

Ethan Gidden (Week 6) – Grayson High School

From the coach: “Congratulations to senior defensive lineman Ethan Gidden for earning this week’s Walton EMC Lineman of the Week award! As a cornerstone of the Grayson Rams defense, Ethan continues to set the standard on and off the field through his exceptional work ethic and impactful leadership. His relentless motor in the trenches and commitment to excellence have been vital to the team’s success this season. It is this high level of dedication and character that has earned him the opportunity to play at the next level, as he is officially committed to continue his football and academic career with the Bryant University Bulldogs. Keep up the phenomenal work, Ethan!”

KD Jones (Week 6) – Grayson High School

From the coach: “Congratulations to senior offensive lineman KD Jones for being named this week’s Walton EMC Lineman of the Week! An imposing force in the trenches at 6’5″ and 305 pounds, the 3-star recruit has consistently dominated the line of scrimmage all season long. As the undisputed leader of the offensive line, KD sets the tone for the entire unit with his immense physical presence, relentless passion, and a contagious energy that elevates everyone around him. His stellar play and leadership prove exactly why he is committed to take his talents to the next level with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Outstanding job, KD—keep paving the way!”
