ENERGY STAR and WaterSense are combining forces to give Georgia residents a break next month. Sales of the following items* will be exempt from state and local sales tax Oct. 3-5:

WaterSense

•Bathroom sink faucets

•Faucet accessories (such as aerators)

•High-efficiency toilets

•High-efficiency urinals

•Showerheads

•Weather- or sensor-based irrigation controllers

ENERGY STAR

•Dishwashers

•Washing machines

•Air conditioners

•Ceiling fans

•Fluorescent light bulbs

•Dehumidifiers

•Refrigerators

•Doors

•Windows

•Programmable thermostats
